Laparoscopy

laparoscopy
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure in which a thin instrument fitted with a light and camera, called a laparoscope, is inserted through a small incision in or near the navel. This allows the doctor to clearly view the reproductive organs and accurately identify and treat problem areas to improve fertility. Because the procedure uses advanced imaging and precision instruments, it offers a safe and effective way to diagnose and correct various fertility-related conditions. Unlike traditional open surgery, which required a large 6–12 inch incision, laparoscopy uses multiple tiny cuts, each usually less than half an inch. Through these small openings, the camera and surgical instruments are inserted, enabling the surgeon to perform the procedure with great accuracy. This results in less pain, minimal scarring, lower risk of complications, and a much faster recovery for patients.

Laparoscopic Surgery Process

Laparoscopic surgery is a modern, minimally invasive technique used to diagnose and treat various gynecological and fertility-related conditions with greater precision and safety. The entire procedure is performed through small, keyhole-sized incisions using a camera and fine surgical instruments. The laparoscopic surgery process is carefully planned and carried out in a few simple steps to ensure minimal pain, quick recovery, and the best possible treatment outcomes for patients.

Preparation & Camera Insertion

The patient is given anesthesia, and a small cut is made near the navel. A thin camera (laparoscope) is inserted to view the internal organs clearly.

Step 01

Treatment of Problem Area

Through a few tiny cuts, fine surgical instruments are used to treat conditions like cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, or blocked tubes.

Step 02

Closure & Recovery

After treatment, the instruments are removed and the small cuts are closed. Recovery is quick with less pain and minimal scarring.
